[DBNETLIB] SQL server does not exists.
Dear All,
I have stucked in an amazing problem. I have been running my payroll system on SQL 2005 developed on VB 6 for many years. But I have been facing this problem from the last month. This message appears everytime when i run my process for collecting the information.
Runtime Error '2147467259(80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB] SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
No changes has been made in the code or at database level.
The process includes the fetching of data from history table to temporary table. A loop is running in which 4 x 500 records are moving from source to destination.
The same process executes successfully on SQL 2000 server.
I have checked the DSNs, Re-configured but of no use.
Really need help!
Regards,
Raza Usmani

What version of SQL Server 2005? Is SQL Server installed as a Named Instance?
Sometimes the Programmer
Sometimes the DBA
