If you mean like the cursor in a textbox,
I know you use the ShowCaret API, but I'm not sure how...
Joacim Andersson put up some code using it a few days ago.

Ok, I'll search on Joacim
It is a textbox and I write to it one letter at at time like a send keys effect but the stupid cursor is blinking at the beginning and seems to steal a little of the show.

thanks again..I couldn't find it so I was working on the position cursor API but this is just great and so simple..
