    Australia or US

Since I.T. related jobs are all over these two countries, which one would you think is a better place to go? I know that agencies are more on U.S. side but I am thinking of not going through an agency. I have relatives in both countries and they say that my job description is in demand in both of their countries.

Just a thought. Any input would help.

    Thanks.

Uhmm you included it in your profile?

    Rives,

Got to say it, move to Oz become an Aussie. You can go to the cricket and football with Beacon and myself. We have a beer drinking culture, which delights in taking the piss out of itself, whereas the seppos just shot each other. They are crap at Rugby, we are World Champions, (ok sorry kiwis, will support the men in black).

Mind you things are cheaper in the States, more jobs, higher pay, and more prospects. But hey wealth isn't everything.

They have Bush we have Howard I'm moving to Pomgolia.

    Canada.

I know it wasn't on the list, but it has all the good things about the states, with none of the bad things (i.e. You can drink at 18, Strict gun controls, They spell properly , very little racism, safe cities, they "get" sarcasm, their politicians aren't corrupt.... oh, hang on, yes they are!)

    YEAH, CANADA!

It may be cold in the winter, and the winter may last for half a year but you'll get used to it.

Move to the praries... you won't get paid as much but things don't cost as much either. Where else can you get 10 acres of land 1 minute north of a major city (8 minute drive from where I work) for less than $40,000? And almost a third of the city owns cottages about 2 hours from the city.

The worst part will be putting up with our politicians, what the heck do they do to deserve a raise of almost 100%?

Paul is just back from Vancouver (excuse spelling on that one), and he loved it. He wants to go back and open a branch office. What have you lot done to the poor guy, l mean the Rugby sucks and do the Canadians even play Cricket or Oz Rules.

    Jethro,

Have you heard of the OZ Sports? Well, I met the owners of that company since they were talking to my brother of doing it here in the Philippines. Maybe I should just give them a call or something. I remember one thing he said was that Ausies are crazy on that game.

    Given a choice, I wouldn't come to the U.S. because our A**hole
government here is taxing people to death (even though Bush is making
some progress on that front), but is also doing STUPID things such as placing cameras at intersections in some areas which allow them to send you a traffic ticket in the mail even if you don't know you did or don't remember doing anything wrong. We are even experimenting here with GPS and cell phones so that "Big Brother" can always know where you are if you have a cell phone. All under the guise of service and safety to the public. Oh yeah...and then there's that really stupid greed thing going on with power in California. If I were you I'd try for a job in a country that does not control its people thru money the way ours does. Just my 2 cents(about all I can afford
Aww screw it. I didn't really want to fool with it anymore anyhow.

Perhaps your taxes would be a little lower if you cut back on your biological weapons production? I mention this after America refusing to sign the latest proposed treaty (all hat's off to Bush, what a statesman).

    Simonm:
I agree. ALL bio weapons should be BANNED all over the planet! Probably won't happen anytime soon though.
