    Firefox Issue?

Over the last several days I have noticed that it looks like whatever page at VBForums I am on never fully loads. The tab has the spinner going and in the status bar it says Transferring data from... The from varies. Everything seems to be working.

    Re: Firefox Issue?

It would be good to know what the first part of the URLs are in the status bar when this happens. That will tell us if we are linking to something on a third party site that is holding things up. If we find that is the case, then we'll talk to the appropriate people.

    Thanks,

    Brad!

If the issue does recur, please test with all extensions disabled first, to be sure it's not one of them. Thanks

    Re: Firefox Issue?

    dbasnett,

Do you visit other forums before visiting this one when the problem occurs? I have noticed after I have been on some pro-boards forums and then view vbforums that the links colour appears brown instead of its normal blue! I think fire fox might have a problem refreshing the browser.

    Edit:

Go through and check your fire fox settings to make sure they are set how your want them. I think it resets sets them after fire fox updates but I'm not sure.

This was the only way I could post. When I, and at least one other person, attempt to navigate to any of the forums the following message is shown:

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Me too. Just started a few minutes ago, though I've been in the forum for a couple hours.
I too am using FireFox and tried clearing cookies but to no avail. I can't view any forums via the forum links, but I can get to the most recent posts in them via their links. Strange!

I am not the only one. I am getting this when I attempt to create a new thread. I am also unable to navigate to a forum, using a direct link like
I am not able to create new threads on the forum.
I am not able to access bulletin boards if I click on the direct link.
    For example:
    http://www.vbforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27
    does not work for me.

I just sent a PM to MartinLiss. I have been able to send and receive PM.

    Look at attached screen shot.

    Re: Firefox Issue?

I just started getting this today. I checked the forums at around 9am, then when I tried now at 11am, I'm getting that message whenever I try to see a forum's list of threads.

Individual threads that I see from the main page (like this one) and subscribed threads I still have access to and can click on them to go directly there.

Some type of weird permission error on the forums I guess.

I seem to be able to click on posts themselves, but every forum gives me the same error message.

I get the same message too. Using IE, Firefox or Google Chrome... produced the same result. Trying to clear cookies, log out then log back in didn't help.

Even I am facing this problem...

I managed to reply to two threads through "go to last post" but I cannot access any subforums.

I just got a BAD GATEWAY error while trying to report a lost thread... refreshing didn't help, neither did going back to my user panel. All in the last 5 minutes.
