    Vs2008 sp1

Has anybody here installed SP1 for VS2008? What does it fix/break/add? Is it worth downloading & installing. Any comments are welcome ... thanks.

All service packs are worth installing without question. Hotfixes, not so, but service packs, definitely. That doesn't mean that a service pack won't introduce new bugs but they almost always include security fixes so they're worth installing for that alone.

    Hey,

Go to Help | About Microsoft Visual Studio.

Check the version number at the top left.

If it is 9.0.21022.8, then Service Pack 1 is not installed, if it is installed, the version number will be 9.0.30729.1.

    Hope that helps!!

    Gary
