p2p gnotella
Has anyone used Gnotella? I have it as a alterative to napster and it seems to work well. But, how does this peer to peer thing work. Apparently it was written in VB and uses the winsock control. Anyone know how it finds the hosts? check it out at http://www.gnotella.com

Actually the Gnutella network is open source. If you search the net for Gnutella you should find the page with all the info you need to use the system. But be prepaired most of the system, and programs were built in C/C++, so most of the sample code is that way. I have looked at it before so I know its out there, but I do not know what the page is.
Also if you look for Newtella, some of its previous versions were open source. But again, it was in C++ (MFC).
