Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Is Available
You might be asking the question, "What more could Microsoft add or change in Microsoft Office?" If so, then now is your chance to find out with the new beta of Microsoft Office 2010.
Download the Office 2010 Beta from Here
Because I'm talking about Office already, let me do a free plug for Microsoft...
Do you use OneNote? If so, no reason to read on! If not, then do you attend a lot of meetings or attend conferences? Do go to classes? If so, you should check out OneNote. It is a great tool for organizing notes (hence the name) and other information into one place. It is like having a slate of paper where you can type, write, draw, record audio, and more. You can even highlight, flag areas, and otherwise mark up your notes too. If you've never tried it, then that is just one more reason to take a look at the Office 2010 beta. It is your chance to check out OneNote!

Re: Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Is Available
Brad,
I downloaded the Office Beta a couple of months back. Is this a different beta than the one I have?
Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'

No beta 2 yet. Not even in the MSDN subscription downloads.

As long as you click 'Customize' and check the 'Keep previous versions' checkbox, it will wipe out Office 2003/2007.

I might try it on my Win Pro laptop since the laptop didn't come with Office Outlook 2007 installed but has all the other general office programs. Although, my laptop did come with Live Mail installed.

I know, that was just a bit of a rant, it is not change i object to just badly thought out change. I don't even hate the ribbon i just wish they could have made it work more for power users.
Is Office 2010 any good then, as i have Office 2007 and i really don't like Word 2007.
In fact i don't really have a problem with the other programs it just Word which if anything has got more difficult to use and to find anything. (well i might have a problem with Access but fortunately i don't have to use it so i don't know)

Re: Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Is Available
I quite like it - it seems like they have actually addressed more issues than they did between 2003 - 2007. One example being when you work on a document from Sharepoint in Word, when you click Save it saves it asynchronously so you dont have to wait for 30 seconds before you can carry on working (for anyone wondering why it takes that long normally, I access our sharepoint site over a slow VPN)
