..why dont you put the reason why the search has been disabled on the .screen that says the search has been disabled.
It might help stop people posting the same question here all the time.

They probably have to ask, because they cannot search for search on the search engine

Not much help either way. Ppl still blindly post questions asking the same thing over and over even if there is a thread a couple of places down with exactly the same thing.

Exactly! That's why I think the should create a new "position" called Forum Police, and assign a few people to it. They could delete repeat post (or bad post) and alert the poster why. I'd do it.

Well at the moment, the Admins are policing. They have loads of things to do, like admining, so if they handed the job to some dedicated police officers, they would have more time to administer things.
So the admin would police the police, but the police would police the members. Chain of command as it's called.
