    Windows xp dual boot

So i got a Dell Inspiron mini 10. It shipped with Windows 7 Starter... Which i must say is garbage. Windows 7 is great, but Starter is garbage. I have a copy of windows xp pro (my favorite os) that i want to dual boot on the netbook so i can have compatible programs run on xp.

My question, if i set up the dual boot with windows xp and windows 7, will it mess up my boot loader (like when you install ubuntu on dualboot) Will i easily be able to delete the partition of xp in the event i dont want it anymore?

I always use EasyBCD to manage the boot loader. Very easy to use and it's free. It works on XP and Win 7.

Yes, you can delete a partition in Windows 7 using Disk Management (right click 'Computer' > Manage > Disk Management).
I hope I got the menu names right, 'cause I'm using a Dutch version here.
    I code C#....

    Dulabooting between XP and Win7

Yes, DClamp. You will have no problems.

Just follow these steps and everything will be ok.

    1) Download nlite from

    http://www.nliteos.com/download.html

    2) Download the XP drivers from

    http://driverscollection.com/?H=Insp...i%2010&By=Dell

    3) Install nlite and then slipstream the XP drivers into the XP Setup
    4) Burn the new XP CD/DVD
    5) Boot from XP CD/DVD
    6) Create 2 partitions of your harddisk
    7) Install XP on the 1st partition
    8) Boot in XP and then install the windows 7. Choose a different drive to install it.

    As simple as that...

Will i easily be able to delete the partition of xp in the event i dont want it anymore?
    Two ways to do it...

    1) Insert the Backup CD/DVD that came with the notebook and do a restore or
    2) Boot from the Win7 DVD and do a fresh install. During install, delete partitions and continue as normal.

IMP: Do not delete the partition from win7 directly if you are following the above method!!!!

    Edit:

BTW I forgot to mention, my laptop has a triple boot between XP, Vista and Windows 7
