Talking of code tags, John still hasn't taken up my idea to ignore smilies within them. The ADO procider has a ":" and a "D" together which of course makes .

You can use the bold tags or the "Disable smilies in this post" option when you are writing.

true, but disabling smilies means you can't use them elsewhere in the posts. I guess that [ b ] [ /b ] business would work, good idea!

yeah, but it would be kind of annoying if you had a lot of code.
