    Non-Interdev-able 6.0

I got another computer at work, and thus have had to reinstall everything on my new computer. I reinstalled VB6.0 but I am unable to get Interdev 6.0 to install.

I got a semi-new computer about a year ago so I know I was able to do it then, and I'm not sure what is different about this one, but I am getting all sorts of "Cannot open ... file - abort retry ignore" during the install. I press ignore all the way through and it doesn't install all the way. I have tried just copying the directory for Interdev from my other computer, but it needs proper drivers and such.

Basically, my problem is I need a proper tool to make my installation programs. Can I (did I?) download this cheaply somewhere?

    Hmm?

It seems like your Visual Interdev installation CD is scratched. Try getting a another/backup one, or if not possible then clean the CD and retry.

It looks a bit scratched, now that you mention it. I'll give that a try. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll be buying Visual Basic 6.0?

    Thanks
