Advertisements?
I know I shouldn't be complainin', but does anyone find that Sprinks window that comes up annoying?
I know John needs to make money and all, but aren't the banners on the web site enough?

I absolutely hate pop-up ads. They're really annoying -- enough to make me consider turning off javascript...

Get these:
Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

It doesn't bother me at all. We get used to it when browsing through porn sites.

hey mathew and others why not just connet through the vbsquare site or use the vbsquare template thingy instead of vbworld?
I dont get the ad's then!
I also dont get them when i log onto vbforums.com!
You could still use your vb-world.net template thingy that way!

I un-cookied myself and got the pop-ups in VBW style. Beacon's right you don't get them with VBS (you also don't get About.com bars or any other stuff) Yes it's custard yellow, but who cares? Pp-up ads are far worse.

They do annoy, mostly because they are unpredictable. If they showed up regularly, they would be easily closed.
Sorry Chris, couldn't resist the blue.

The advertising (including pop-ups) are a necessary evil I'm afraid - especially with the two new servers we're bringing online next week.
All the best,

Makes them more cash I expect. And it's like a forced-click through (unlike a banner ad where people don't have to click).

Well, as ugly as it is, I switched over to VBSquare, things are much better now .
