    Blank screen after loading windows

    Hi I've got a bit of a problem...

    After I finish installing windows vista or 7 on my desktop pc they finish loading on the loading screen then the screen just goes blank like it's off for 10minutes or so and then the computer restarts and does the same thing over again


    anyone know what it could be?

    EDIT: It hasnt finished installing, because when i load it on safe mode it says "Windows cannot complete installation on safe mode"

    Didi you try booting it in safe mode?

    Have you made sure there is nothing wrong with the hardware?

    could be any number of things. The real question is: did it work before win 7 was installed? And did you do a fresh install or an upgrade?

    I dont think anything i wrong with the hardware it was working fine on xp.

    Yes it was working fine and I've done a fresh installation for both 7 and vista

    if you can't get a fresh install to work you may have to do the dirty and reinstall vista and upgrade it.
