what are the the best vb game engines?

I'm more interested in the best 'free' game engines that you've experienced than I am in the ones that cost you. Have any ideas?

as far as I know, most, if not all are generally made in C or C++ ... primarily because there is a lot of high speed calcs that need to be done to make things flow smoothly. I don't think there are too many that are done in VB.

yeahh... I realize that C++ is definitely the way to go for game engine/game dev. However, my C++ isn't too sharp, and I prefer to stick with the language I'm using at work at the moment- lol. I've seen some vb engines out there, but they're either in vb6, or $40+ ... :P
