    Pre fetching?

I got this error today, when I tried to access the URL http://www.vbforums.com/

First I thought it was caused due to the Beta version of Firefox, but then I got it on my chrome browser too.

Is this because I am accessing through a proxy?

    Hey,

I can honestly say that I have never seen this happen.

What version of Chrome are you using? The development version, or the stable one? I use the stable version, 3.0.195.33, and this doesn't happen for me.

    Gary,
I have a beta version of chrome and a beta version of firefox. I have not seen this happen on IE8.

I reckon it is the beta causing the problem! Try using a non-beta of those browsers.

    Re: Pre fetching?

On the wiki page for prefetching, I found this
    http://browserspy.dk/prefetch.php

This can test your browser for prefetching.

    Hey,

For the version of Chrome I am using, that website says that pre-fetching is not enabled.

    Re: Pre fetching?

I am using Chrome 4.0.223.16 and it doesn't support prefetching. I don't know why I got the error in Chrome. The Mozilla I am using does support prefetching
