Is there a newer firefox addon for vbulletin?
I got the link from an older post to NoteMe's website, but obviously that download is quite outdated and wont work with the newer versions of firefox.
http://www.noteme.com/vb_extension/download.php
Anyone know of a good forums add on for firefox?
Thank you!
EDIT: By the way, before anyone says anything about google, I typed in the exact same thing (firefox addon for vbulletin, and a few variations) and pulled up old extremely outdated information.

Re: Is there a newer firefox addon for vbulletin?
I'm not aware of any current vBulletin based addons - there are a few generic forum ones, but as the vBulletin parts are tacked on to the end (after Invision etc) they aren't really worth using.
I'm fairly sure that NoteMe (and somebody else) posted a thread about the addon here which included the code - and NoteMe has made it clear before that if anybody wants to take it over they can... but unfortunately Fx addons now require a secure web server, and you might need to update the code a bit too.

Yea, the secure updates was fixable by going into the firefox about:config and adding:
extensions.checkUpdateSecurity boolean False
Not something you'd want permanent but I did get past that...
That is when it said it was completely incompatible. So apparently its only going to work if the code gets updated. If anyone has that thread with the code for NoteMe's addon please post. If not I'll find it.
Thank you Si_the_geek for the reply!

Believe it or not you've got the code already - check your \extensions folder, it will be in one of the folders, and I think it is an .xpi file (which is really just a .zip file, rename it to open it).
You might find that you can get it to work by simply changing the number next to MaxVersion in one of the files (it worked for me with Fx 2), but the big changes for Fx 3 might cause other issues.

Google loves this site... which is quite nice, because it means several of my articles are on the first page (sometimes even the top) when there are millions of results: VB6 Excel tutorial

I was the developer of the VBForums addon. I just do not have time to keep up with it anymore. Anyone else is welcome to continue work on it if they wish.
Nicelydone:
Just unzip the extension if you want the code. That is all extensions are/were. Zip files.
