    Resolved [RESOLVED] AnkhSVN 2.1.7444

I'm currently setting up TortoiseSVN 1.6.6 on my WinXP system here at work and since I use VS2005 and VS2008 regularly here I'm considering installing AnkhSVN 2.1.7444 to make things easier as at my other job I use VSS (Visual Source Safe) which integrates into VS2003, VS2005 and VS2008 and works very nicely.

So for those of you who have used AnkhSVN 2.1.7444 and VS2005/2008 what's your opinion?
Currently using VS 2015 Enterprise on Win10 Enterprise x64.

    Hey,

I can't answer the question directly as I have never used it, but what I would say is the Visual SVN is very good, and well worth the small amount of money. It is continually updated with new releases of Subversion, and their support is very good.

    Re: AnkhSVN 2.1.7444

I'm currently using AnkhSVN and TortoiseSVN on my workstation to access the shared svn repository over a network drive. Haven't yet run in to any problems with the setup. Integration appears to be as good as VSTS was when I last used that, considering it's only source control and not bug/issue management.

Also, upgrading to new versions of subversion/tortoisesvn/ankhsvn is simple. Just run the installer for each program and it will upgrade over the top of existing installs. No need to reconfigure any settings for visual studio or any subversion servers. (assuming you are using svn server from open.collab.net).
