Big Problems /w USB Drives =(.
Today, I had an external drive where I backed all of my data to.
So the harddrive failed and I lost my data (The harddrive was fine, but the circuit board for the external drive failed).
So I opened it up... to my amazement there are 2 drives in there. I was planning just to rip the harddrive out and place it into another controller.
But 2 harddrives!?
It was set as a 1TB external harddrive, but it actually has 2 500GB HDDs in there.
I have 2 other external drive cases that I've migrate the drives into, but Windows can't read from either of the drives. I guess because the partition spans over both drives.
The first drive shows up, but "Needs to be formatted", the second one needs to be initialised.
Is there any (free) software you guys can suggest to make Windows use these drives as a single drive?
Even something in Linux will do. What do you suggest?
BIG THANKS if it works .
