Making Changes to HKey_Users
Well, I have a program that I want to add its license key to the HKey_Users root. I try to add a key manually, but I get an error... So now, I am trying to write a program to do it... I want to be able to add the value as hex. Any Suggestions?

Re: Making Changes to HKey_Users
That sounds odd. Normally only developer keys go into the registry. Programs normally have the runtime key embedded if the developer actually has a valid license.

Re: Making Changes to HKey_Users
Let me explain...
I download software for www.GiveawayOfTheDay.com. I want to install the software on a Virtual Machine, but the VM is not connected to the internet to allow correct activation. I downloaded a program called RegShot, and got the license key from the 'Activate.exe' program that I installed on a computer connected to the internet. Now, I want to add the key to the VM, but I get an error adding it...

Is this Vista or later? 32 or 64 bit OS?

Re: Making Changes to HKey_Users
Both OSs are XP. (One Home, and one Professional. I doubt that that matters)
And it is a 32 bit OS.

I try to add manually, but I get an error saying "Error Accessing the Registry."
