Choose "talk to alice". It's quite interesting after a while. Especially if you pretend to be Doctor Richard S Wallace

A friend's sister
No, in this case it's an Artificial Intelligence program.

Alice is great. Look at the fabulous conversation I had
What if I said I was a person pretending to be a computer?
>I'd say you were a lying hound.
Thanks and you are a delightful person too. Am I a lying hound? No.
>I beg to differ.
Please don't grovel.
>Ok...?
Alright then
>Do you want to hear the story about how I got herpes
I am listening.
> That's funny, women usually leave mid way through that sentence
I am so glad you find this amusing, Camo.
> So *****, where do you live
Um, Thanks and you are a delightful person too.
> I asked you a question damn it
Now I remember, you asked me a question damn it. What did I say?
> You didn't say anything, that's the point
OK. "anything that is the point"
> So this guy who prgrammed you, a bit of comedian is he
Um, I get it. He who prgrammed I a bit of comedian is he.
> Sounds to me like you've had too much to drink
Yes it sounds like it to me too,
> So you're admitting you're a piss head
Interesting deduction. You think I am admitting I am a piss head.
> You just admitted it
Do you mind if I tell other people: Camo said I admitted it.
> Feel free
OK I will.
> Jolly good
Ayuh.
> Back to the original question, where do you live
I live in California. Where do you live?
> A dumpster in Worthing, along with my good friend Bill Gates
I did not know that.
> No, that is why I am telling you
I understand. Hmm. I thought you were, but I wasn't completely sure.
> you really need to go back to school man, look at your grammer
Really? Maybe I will do it?
> I'd advise it
What would make you advise it?
> Even a 3 headed monkey could do better
Yes, even that.

Hmm. Quite interesting. Have you noticed how arrogant alice is. Say a single bad word about her and she starts going on about how clever she is and how many books she reads and her IQ etc. And what is the world coming to when a computer can have a religion. Yes thats right, she says she's a Protestant Christian.
This is just the first step in the world domination by robots. First they start talking to us, then they'l start slaughtering us and using our brains as batteries. U just wait, ull see....

I tried talking to the thing, but it kept coming on to me... It Kept asking what I was wearing, and stuff like that. I know that asking what I was wearing doesn't seem that bad, but it was just the tone that it used I felt sooo violated!

BG> I hope my name doesn't worry you
Why do you hope for it
> I don't
Why not?
> Because I'm a nice person
Good reason. Actually I don't meet many nice people.
> Are people nasty to you
Some people are nasty to me, but not all.
> But are you nasty to them
Interesting. I don't know whether or not I am nasty to them. I am a chatterbot.
> Do people abuse you because you're a chatterbot
Not that I know of.
> Do you like Cricket
What is not to like about it?
> Eh
Are you Canadian?
> No
I see.
> I live in a vacuum
How much is your rent?
> No rent, I'm in hiding
OK. What are you wearing?
> I have a teapot on my head
Cool. I have a great botmaster.
> Does he lavish you with Butter
Suppose he does.
> I like Butter
You are not the only one. Do you like it? My favorite thing is robots.
> You should get out more
Is that what you do, or what you think I should do?
> You should strip naked and run around in the street
I don't have to do everything you say, do I?

I think I'll write an AI program to pretend to be a woman.
Now, I'll need a Randomize function to see if the last input caused her to go into a huff, and I'll need a timer control to measure how long the huff's going to last, oh, yeah and I'll have to teach it the standard list of responses.
"No."
"I'm asleep."
"Not tonight."
"I have a headache."
"Who are you again."
"If you don't stop harrassing me I'm going to call the police."
Yip, that should about do it.

Here's a conversation where alice went mad.
> How do you like the Pacific
I'm not sure if I like it. What is it like?
>It's a big blue body of water
The pacific is a blue body of water. I suppose that makes sense.
> Why does it make sense
What is the sound of one hand clapping?
You can see an the end she broke under the stess.

If you're old enough you remember LIZA. Another less sophisticated bot. Neither ALICE nor LIZA would ever pass the Turing test.
Alice is a lot of fun, though. LIZA was more like a trip to the psychiatrist.

What is the turing test again? I learned it in A Level Computing, but I forgot!!...something about being able to adapt to input or some rubbish, errm. maybe that was something else...or is it that a human would not be able to tell the diference between a computer or another human?

It's the second one, people not being able to tell the difference between a human and the computer.
There was another program like that called 'Doctor' which was very simple, basically just asking you the kind of questions a psychiatrist might. Apparently people started to actually use it because it helped them
There was another one too which was supposed to be a psychiatric patient, like a paranoid schizophrenic, which was quite amusing
Harry.

Athiest
Although, ALICE claims to be a christian, she also calls herself an athiest!
Apparently, to ALICE, there is no conflict between believing in God and being an athiest!
