[RESOLVED] Site Down
Just wondering if there was a problem with the web servers or something just now as I couldnt get onto any parts of the forums for the last 10 minutes or so?
Started at roughly 16:30 (at least that was the time in England) and it is now 16:43 and its just started working again. Definitely wasnt my internet connection as I could browse all other websites fine and I happened to be connected to a server 30 miles away from me that uses a different ISP for its internet connection and I tried just going to www.vbforums.com on there as well and it didnt work.
No HTTP error or anything, just simply said it could not find the site. I also originally tried telnetting through on port 80 just to make sure it wasnt my browser playing up:
Code:
Connecting To www.vbforums.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed
Just curious and thought I would let you know if you were not already aware of it.
Chris

Re: Site Down
This site is very vulnerable for DoS'ing, wich means tempting to connect ALOT of times so the servers stop running. I've seen lotsa forums using vbforums.com as a "practice website".
Sad, but true.

Re: Site Down
Nope, no issues still and nothing "just happened". Maybe its your ISP or such.

Are you being serious? How can it be anything other than the web site itself when someone from England (myself), someone from Inida, and someone from another location have all had the same problems at the same time..

Re: Site Down
No problems here at all all day/night. Plus I asked Joe and he said no issues from anything like what is being posted about.

Re: Site Down
Could just be one of the hops your computer is taking to get to the site. Run a tracert and see where it craps out.

Re: Site Down
it could be a bottleneck anywhere between you and the server. When a server is down, it's down for everybody. Whether you're next-door, or on the next continent.
