? for those with knowledge of Win Shell replacments..

Hey guys, I am planning on finally getting around to installing a Shell Replacment on my new comp since the explorer.exe on Win ME is got to be the most unstable I have ever seen. But there are so many new ones lately, Im not sure which is the best. If all else fails ill go with LiteSTEP, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any that are better?

Have you tried outsider? It looks really good and its interface aint that bad either. Although this is a programming site, so you could write your own little shell

Litestep i thought was a bit rubbish. Very boring and not particularly powerful. Theres a 3d one thats quite good but i cant remember what its called.

sorry for asking, but what are the advantages of putting in another shell, besides not crashing alot.

Thanks lord_dude ill check out Outsider

    Scoutt.

Well other than more stable, they are fully customizable with themes and skins and look a hell of alot nicer than plain old explorer.exe
