Having read all posts in this thread for the first time, I conclude that it must be some strange mind perversion thing.

Explaination of "ciao K. Bring some sunshine with you morrow" is that Katie was feeling down for whatever reason, and was leaving, so to make sure she is more cheered tomorrow, I said bring some sunshine (which most people associate with being cheered up", happy rays whatever).

Whatever connotation you've thought of is beyond me so I'm going to leave it like that.
