    Is Google down?

    Can you guys confirm this? I haven't been able to go to www.google.com since yesterday afternoon. And it's 8:45 AM 9/30/2009 now. More than 12 hours... Just amazing

    Did your ISP block you?

    1) Can you access other sites without any problem?
    2) What exactly happens when you try to navigate to google? Do you get any error message?
    3) Which Webbrowser are you using?

    Hmmm... That's very strange. It's got to be DNS problem with my company network then.

    1. Yes, I can access any other sites without problem.
    2. I got the well known message "Page cannot be displayed"
    3. IE8 with all updates installed.

    I had a similar situation when my browser got hijacked. Every time I put in the URL for any search engine, it would take me to a different website.

    According to a Reverse DNS the first IP address is a valid Google site:
    64.233.169.104 resolves to yo-in-f104.google.com
    ..and it loads fine for me.

    So it must be our network firewall blocking Google somehow... No new rules have been added, no old rules have been changed... All of a sudden the firewall won't alow connection to *.google.com anymore... Very strange.
