    @ MartinLiss,

I think stru4nak is asking whether there can can be a thread just for links to resolved posts in the VB.Net section.
when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.
If this thread is finished with please mark it "Resolved" by selecting "Mark thread resolved" from the "Thread tools" drop-down menu.

Re: Can you make thread for [RESOLVED] post

    Hey,

Why not just search for threads that have RESOLVED into the title?

    Martin,

The link the OP posted works for me. It's simply a JPG showing a mock up of what he is asking for.

He's asking for a subForm for just the resolved threads, as in when you mark your vb thread as resolved the thing gets moved automatically to the new subForum.

Which I think is a bad idea and will create a massive amount of confusion of "I marked my thread as resolved, where did it go?" considering you can use the search feature to pull out Resolved threads plus whatever keywords you're looking for

Re: Can you make thread for [RESOLVED] post

I think a filter ("Show [unresolved | resolved | all] threads") would be more appropriate, but the forum software doesn't have that capability. I think it is very unlikely we would move all resolved threads into their own subsection because it is a lot of work for the moderators and I am not sure if there is any advantage to it.

Re: Can you make thread for [RESOLVED] post

Agreed. I don't see any major benefit to it. One way that could be improved though would be to have a flag on the search to specify whether to show only threads that have been marked as resolved, but then again, not everyone marks their threads resolved.

Re: Can you make thread for [RESOLVED] post

I think the filter needs to be show "solved" in the title! That way it would show the threads with solved, Solved, Resolved, resolved, etc in the title.

Actually the Resolved hack should be a thread prefix now. You can search on prefixes and I bet the hitlist will be more accurate then when members manually edit their thread titles with whatever variation of resolved they put in.

Nope! I just checked the search form and the "Resolved" prefix is not listed under the list of prefixes.

Nightwalker, please read the posts more carefully, you tend to skip over critical details.

I was going to say what rob said. Except the only problem with that is you would be able to search for the older threads by the prefix.

I know what Rob meant I was just saying that the prefix has not been added yet.
