    Exclamation Loading Pictures problem...

    HI!

    It's driving me crazy!!!
Does anyone know WHY when I load a simple picture (of any type) to a
picturebox, the first line of pixels are gone and the last line
    of pixels is doubled!
    would anyone help me out?
    maybe it's my computer's problem?
    I don't know...
Try to load a simple picture to a picturebox,
you won't see the first line of pixels.

    well,
    thank you anyway,
    Arie.

But if you do, reply something.

    Thank you,
    Arie.

Couldn't you use an image control instead?

Hey Arie, I know what you're talking about
It happens to me too, but only in one program - when I use a filter on an image, like Blur or something. It also happens whenever I resize an image in that program. But so far I wasn't able to fix it, it works fine on all the other programs. Sorry

Maybe you should try using another image and see what happens.
    Code:
    Temp = Me.GetIQ()
    'Error 9: Overflow
    'DON'T PANIC!

    Hi!

    It happens on any image!
It's a regular ICO file, and a VB 6.0 version project files.
    I don't know what's wrong.

    Here is the test project...

    Thank you,
    Arie.

Shows up fine & dandy on my computer.
You should get another GFX card/drivers for this one.

Well, the program is IrfanViewer. It's free, search the net and you'll find it. It only happens there, whenever I modify anything in an image (like applying a special effect eg.: blur).
    Code:
    Temp = Me.GetIQ()
    'Error 9: Overflow
    'DON'T PANIC!

Hm, if you're doing a game why do you need a) icons b) controls? Use the API to load your picture into a offscreen DC, that's really easy...

    Hi!

If it's so easy to work with, so explain a little
    bit about this Offscreen DC...
I want to know if it's faster...
Explain me how to do it and I'll try it.

    Thank you,
    Arie.

This problem of image distortion happens to me also,

I discovered that tthis problem happens with Win 98 and Win Me only, no problem with Win 95, NT, 2000

    Two type of distortion founded:
    1) loosing one pixel from the top
    2) breaking in the sides of images (Right side often)
