General .NET issue
Our company still officially uses .NET 1.1. On a small scale (and unofficially), I've been using v3.5 applications within our department. The only compatibility issue we've run into is a single Java web form on our intranet.
For whatever reason, once you have v3.5 installed on your PC, the application never loads. I realize this is a very general question, but why is the page not working? If the PC has both v1.1 and v3.5 installed, shouldn't the page continue to be compatible?

Re: General .NET issue
Hey,
Off the top of my head, I can't think why that would be causing an issue.
Which version of Java do you have on your machine? Is there an updated version you can install to see if that fixes your problem?

Ditto, I don't know of ANY reason why Java would be influenced by .NET.
Perhaps it's browser plugins that are colliding? Disable the Windows Presentation Foundation plugin in your browser and see if that resolves the issue.

Re: General .NET issue
It's an Oracle Web Application. IT says there is a conflict between that version and newer versions of .NET although they didn't elaborate. Everyone who has the new .NET installed can't run the page properly. However, if you delete all versions of .NET and re-install only 1.1 it works.
I was just under the impression that you could have simultaneous versions installed and applications using the older framework would continue to do so.

Re: General .NET issue
Hey,
As far as I am aware, you can.
I have all the Frameworks installed, even the new 4.0 Beta, and I haven't had any problems.

Is there any differences in the web browsers used (i.e different versions, updates...)
