    SqlCeEngine.Compact problem

I'm just wondering if something has changed with any recent updates that would cause the compact function to start throwing an exception about the specified module could not be found?

I know according to forums that you should have the install the replication components. The thing is we've never installed that cab file for the replication components and we've never had this problem until now and this code runs each time the app is started.

Hmm - seen something similar before.

Our way around it was to load the modules at the start of the run using loadlibrary.

    This was an intermittent fault

Yea, I just do understand why this happened out of the blue. Didn't know if there may have been some kind of recent update to the .net framework that would have caused this or not. We've come to the decision that we would just include the cab file along with the others, since this solves the problem.

No - ours just appeared out of the blue - as I say, the loadlibrary is a longer term fix.
