visual basic uses
A friend of mine told me that VB has become slightly obsolete because most companies don't use it anymore. Is that true?

Re: visual basic uses
Was your friend refering to VB6 rather than VB.NET, by any chance? I would say that the statement that VB6 is obsolete is true, though many companies still do use it. I would say that the statement that VB.NET is obsolete is definitely false.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

vb is far from dead. The company i work for has developed a full ERP system entirely in VB with no plans to convert at all (unless to an upgraded version of VB).
