excel column changes numbers to date!
HI,
I am creating my Excel great, except that a field that contains numbers ie
1-10 or 2-5 keep getting changed to the equivilant in date. I don't want dates. If I format to text, then it cuts off part of the original data.
THanks.

The General setting that is usually the default for cells will attempt to convert dates, correct spelling errors and perform other annoying automated tasks. If you are putting values separated by a dash then you will need to specify the row or column as text so that Excel does not try to interpret each value
