MySQL vs MS SQL
People i want you to tell me which will be better to use. i want to build a university portal and i have doubts that MySQl may not be able to handle the traffic and the information that will be stored there.
So tell what u think. Thanks

If you want apt advice, you'll need to give far more information than just "a university portal".

Agreed si,
For example, what costs are you willing to spend? (If any)
Are you looking for an enterprise solution?
You working on Windows Server/UNIX?
Are you using PHP?
Do you know the size of the database/tables you will be using
User base?
Etc…
Both have their advantages but we need to know more information off you to break down which one you should choose and why.
