    PDA suggestion?

Ok, I need to get a PDA for my grandma. She had a older palm one, but it does not work with x64 Windows. I had gotten her a new PC to replace the horribly slow compaq celeron she was using, and anything with 4GB of ram comes with x64 Windows.

So I was looking around, and I really don't see anything in the realm of PDAs. Palm doesn't even sell them anymore, only 3 models which are phones.

I was also considering the iPod touch, although she already has the iPod from the gen right before the touch, and really all she needs this thing for is an electronic address book to bring around with her.

She is not technologically inclined at all, so I need something pretty simple to use, and if at all possible, capable of importing a palm format contacts list. It may just not exist, but I figured I would ask in case any of you have come across something.

The stand alone PDA is a dead world. Most manufacurers are getting out of the business. Everything is going to phone/PDA combos these days. Is that not an option?

    Re: PDA suggestion?

She has a standard cell phone which gets about 5 minutes of usage a month MAYBE.

She really just doesn't need it as a phone, and getting it as a phone requires all the headaches of dealing with a wireless carrier and signing contracts, etc.. it is not something i can just do and bring to her.

eBay - CellPhone and PDA section, PDA sub section.... tons in there.

Some are phones with their some cards removed (which may or may not be unlocked), some are actual PDAs.

Just because it's a cell phone, doesn't mean it needs to be used as one. I've been using a Blackbery 8830 as a PDA (it's currently locked to Verison, I have AT&T) while maintaining my current phone.
