He will never know the favor that was done for him (the cancelling of the acct, not the video capture and subsequent showing to the world on youtube)

Re: World of Warcraft Epic Fail
I have to agree with the comments on the video that it was all staged.
But then again WoW is one of those games that shouldn't have been created cause of crap like that.

Possibly, but the sad reality is that people really can be like that. They can easily become mentally addicted, which can be nearly as bad as being physically addicted to something.

It really makes you wonder whether or not that's fake. Part of me thinks not, the kid is obviously rather socially repressed and probably identified more with the his life in WoW than with reality. Consider some of the things he did and noises he made, it was almost animalistic and very reminiscent of certain creatures in the game. The kid needs help, not online humiliation.

Time timing of the vid taker seems a bit odd, so I vote semi-staged. But, if it is staged, do you think they rehearsed the part where he violates the remote?
Here's to us!
Who's like us?
Darned few, and they're all dead!

if it was staged, you have to question who someone would even stage such a thing. It isn't like it being fake and not making it obvious is going to make that kids life any more fun in school...

Re: World of Warcraft Epic Fail
I have never played WoW. But I used to play a lot of games (not online). I know playing games could be addictive (I actually once was) but I have never seen any game so vindictive that you start seeing yourself in it.
It's been a long time I have played any game. The last game I played was Far Cry and Halo. Pretty good games.

That's how I react when my Internet connection speed falls below 1 GBps.
(Obviously staged)

I wouldn't say its staged, I do believe that kid needs to be looked at by a doctor. I suffer from mild ADHD and have done a lot of reading into mental health, I would get him checked out for manic depression. Anyone who goes that mad and calms down that quick would worry me!

Re: World of Warcraft Epic Fail
WoW is a suitable name for the game considering I think that everytime someone tells me they actually play it

so they could get a video on their favourite site: epicfail.com, obviously.
The timing was not only obvious, but the remote thing was obviously for an audience.

i don't understand why he undressed himself.
Sequence of events:
"Omgosh i am angry, so i must put a blanket on me and rip my clothes off. Then i must go in a closet, come back out, and violate a remote. Then I need to hit myself with a shoe."
My monkey wearing the fedora points and laughs at you.

Re: World of Warcraft Epic Fail
Just like anything else, people think the world revolves around them. It's simply a symptom of the entitlement mentality. Blaming a 'thing' for the woes that befall oneself exonerates that individual from any responsibility. Sadly, there are far too many enablers who are quite happy to lavish praise on the Emperors New Clothes.
"Ok, my response to that is pending a Google search" - Bucky Katt.
"There are two types of people in the world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data sets." - Unk.
"Before you can 'think outside the box' you need to understand where the box is."
