has your software ever been falsely flagged by a virus checker and if so what did you do about it?

u have to split ur source...
delete part by part from up to down... (e.g. delete button1 button2 timer1 timer2 etc)
and scan on each stage...
when u find what made the antivirus to flag it
u write this part with another way...
well i totally screwed up the syntax but i hope u undertood what i said!!!!

This is not specific to VB6, so does not belong in the VB6 forum - thread moved from 'VB6 and Earlier' forum to 'General Developer' forum

If I were you, I would submit your EXE to the anti-virus company and label it as a false positive. I would also scan it with other products to see if any others think it is infected.

It is possible that a virus get's attached to your program (the exe, dll's or both) at compile time so when you pass out your program, you're passing a virus as well.
Though this is rare.

Re: has your software ever been falsely flagged by a virus checker
Given the nature of this and your other thread about a service that will automatically check your site... erm, how can I put this? It sounds like you're trying to write a virus. Sorry for the suspicion but you wouldn't be the first to try and get our advice on how to do so. (You wouldn't be the first that failed to get our advice either)
Would you mind giving us a bit more detail about what you're actually doing before we give you further advice?
edit>erm, this thread seems a tad suspect as well...
