I think you need to motivate your requests more. Why a chat? Why does it specifically need to be in flash?

i have seen that flash apps works quite fast and have many advantages, options etc.

I personally dont see the use in a chat. This site was created as a forum... not a chat room. Its like making a car that also it part helicopter.

Flash is just one technology that could be used to create real-time chat.

Ultimately, members of this site are on at different times, so real-time chat isn't necessarily the best solution. That's not to say we won't ever do real time chat, but to some extent we are near-real time, but in the form of forum threads instead of a chat window

I dunno, I think real time chat is a bad idea! Look at how messy CC can get, chat moderation would be a nightmare.

Not to mention, you cant really seperate the different discussions. Chitchat/vb.net/vb6/mobile/php/asp/asp.net/etc would all be in the same room.
