I believe that incentives should not be positive or negative incentives, but that you
should have both a positive incentive and a negative incentive.

    For example:

Positive - Have a pint of Ale each time you do not smoke a cigarette.

negative - Send an envelope filled with large denomination, used notes to your local M.P.
for their expenses each time you do smoke a cigarette.

I smoked a few cigs when I was in elementary school. Never any after that.

Aye, first time I went to that site it says I've smoked 243 cigarettes as well. I tried it once when I was young but I hated it and can't stand the smell... so you got a bug .

That was it. After two packs a day for almost ten years I quit cold turkey. At 7:55 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 1990 I smoked my last cigarette.

Of course the ***** still wouldn't go out with me, but at least I quit.
Smoking was probably the most obvious reason NOT to go out with you, of course when you eliminated that she couldn't find the heart to tell you the next obvious reason which is god knows what.

I was able to kick the Pokemon habit but I'm still addicted to Animal Crossing.

There are a few things I miss about smoking. One is taking smoke breaks at work. Its seems that I was the only one who kept track of them. I could disappear for a little bit, pop back in and just say I went out for a smoke. Oddly, I think I was healthier back then. I was 25 pounds lighter and I walked a lot more.

And that is exactly why I smoke. I can't see how other people can work for hours on end without taking a break. I watch the clock and make sure that I take at least a 15 minute break every hour.

So your 8 hour day consists of 2 hours worth of breaks and at least an hour for lunch?

I read once in BBC about a research that says people that stop smokers are more likely to gain weight something to do with hormones or fat-reducing agents being released when smoking and stopped when not. Anyways I could be wrong but I'm sure that article is in BBc.

As you may gather, I'm trying as hard to be a real-life troll as possible.

Stop *****footing around and just quit. The main reason people go back to smoking is because they give themselves a psychological get-out clause from the start; instead of saying that they're trying to stop smoking, they should say that they don't smoke.

I started smoking when I was 11 and was on 20-30 a day by the time I reached 17, and I gave up at the first time of asking at the age of 25. And yes, I realise I'm being very smug about this.

Cigarettes have filters. Forums have filters. It's only logical.

I'm avoiding this thread because all this smoking talk makes me want to smoke. No updates will be provided. Goodbye cruel forum world.

You will probably last until something really pisses you off. In your case, a baby will start crying at the supermarket and force you to spark up. When it comes to quitting cigarettes, I prefer the gum or chantix.
