    SMTP server

    I heared about SMTP servers implemented into applications itself.

    What do I need to program my own SMTP server?

    You need a big bookshelf and all of Wrox's ASP books (there are tons with the same name )

    Actually one in particular is useful:
    ASP: Techniques for Webmasters by Alex Homer (my god )

    It shows you how to set up & use an SMTP server in IIS, and use the simplemail object to do a mail message.

    If you would like I can post some code.

    Although I believe making SMTP server using ASP and IIS may be interesting... I would like to implement SMTP in EXE created in VB.

    Impossible?
    I have no idea how does it works.
