Add Properties
Hello Again VBForums
ok does anyone know were I can get information on how I can add items to the Properties. Ok you know how you right click a file and goto properties well I wish to add a tab for hash checks. I have the program in my head how to do it but I don't know how to add tabs to the properties menu. If anyone could tell me a book to read or a link that be great.

Re: Add Properties
Do you mean when you view the properties page of any file (or any file of a specific type) in Windows?
If this is the case, look into Shell Programming, specifically, for the Windows Shell. There are many great books and tutorials on the web, you should have no problem finding.
I personally own this book (http://www.amazon.com/VB-Shell-Progr...dp/1565926706#) which is pretty good, it's old, but very easy to follow. VB.NET has come a long way, so its probably simpler to integrate with the Windows Shell these days.

Re: Add Properties
I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you want. But if i'm not mistaken, you want to run your own program that adds a tab to the properties of any file for "Hash Checks"?
