[RESOLVED] Need help Urgently

Hello

Most people know me as a school student who uses VB forums for help with my software design assignments.

Well here i am and i am in more Crap than ever when it comes to programming and i am confused.

so ill just outline the project and then list what i definately need help with.

Design a movie database for a DVD store, the software must be user friendly(i can do that) and must include the following components.

The easiest option is:
Movie name
Director
Producer
Lead actor/actress

Dont need any help there

The intermediate option is:
The above option
Movie picture
Movie rating

Still i dont need help there

The hardest one:
All of the above
Video clip of the movie

Errr dont know how to do that trick

Then the database must allow for new data to be entered and current data which was entered last time the program was open must be able to be searched or easily accessible.

Permanent Memory. HOW THE HELL AM I MENT TO DO THAT.......

And then i need to do all that for 20 movies and have a help function to help support users. That is easy.

But a Video and PERMANENT MEMORY that is why i said i am in so much crap, or should i say i am in ****.

so if anyone can help me then you must be my hero or role model because i cant do that sort of stuff.

HELP ME this is important to me.

I hope you can all help.

I know how to do the movie now, go to the bottom of the page and see what i wrote down there about the database.
If people have posted after that then please read all of those posts before posting because i dont want to hear what people have said and it did not work a second time.

oh and i forgot to mention my school and my laptop do not have VS 2008. I have VB express 2008. almost the same just missing a few features, oh and do not do the project for me please, i just need a little help with a few things.

Try looking up VS2008Express help for my.settings, and search posts in this forum with that keyword. There were so many...

I don't think that's the proper attitude, mate. Teachers are there to challenge your brains, not to turn it in to a fat lazy blob by spoon-feeding it.

Yea i agree it is not the right attitude but yet this is not the normal he gives us, the hardest was a calculator and well this is even harder as it is memory that must be retained forever.

Its fair he gave us this as it was actually his back-up idea for the assignment which is why i dont want to know his original plan.

Hey again

Still using the same thread cause all my problems were not resolved.

Um with My.Settings i cannot figure that out still so i was hoping someone might be able to help me with linking two forms to a database. the two forms would be one for viewing the information in the database and the other form would be used for enterin new information into the database and then saving it too the database making it permanent memory.

Is this possible or would i have to enter the information directly into the database. if i have to do the second option then i am open to all ideas on how to do the permanent memory without the database because all the information needs to be entered and stored while the program is still running.

So Yea if you can help then a big thank you from me, and you still get that Thank you Even if you dont help but try.
