i don't think it's colinux. It is apparently running in a virtual machine but they customized it to put the windows on the desktop. It still has no visible access to vista files.

Portable Ubuntu was developed for people who use other people's computer. You can install it on a portable drive and launch it with a batch file. It doesn't make any changes at all to the host system.

and i learned something. I had never heard of colinux until you mentioned it.

Now let's say you were on a Mac and running vista or xp in parallels desktop in concurrence mode. Then you run this. You could run any program ever made without ever rebooting.

I would have found Option2 funny if I knew at that time what GED stood for. Now I know, although I'd have to say I would be far more amused with the "something else".
