Quality shareware sites
Hi,
I'm looking for quality shareware sites that get lots of trafic.
There's download.com and tucows.com but after that I don't know.
Upon googling "shareware websites" or similar you get a gazzillion different sites. Most of them are not worth the effort. It would also take a lifetime to submit your program to all of them.
Can someone post some good shareware websites where one can submit a program please?

There was in Australia, a shareware freeware company that let you purchase games and programs from in disk and CD forms. They were called Manaccom or something like that. If they are still producing products, then you can try and see if they distribute to other parts of the world, including Australia. They sold their products for about $9.95 AU$. But if you are looking for it to be downloaded off the Internet and then getting royalities from the download. Then try setting up your own website off your ISP's server.
That is what I am going to do or something like that. Because of the licence that I have been able to purchase of my product. Is coming from ID Software and isn't my own initial product.
But yes, it's another DOOM Game, in fact.
If you wish to make end-users to pay for it, before downloading or trying your program. Then you have to make somesort of credit card payment system on the website, before hand.
I am working on a serial number distribute program. That will stamp the program with a serial number, everytime it is downloaded from the Internet address, as well. But that I am looking into myself.
I have a huge free products range, of computer software in which you can download using any kind of 64-Bit Web Browser. Also there is coming a Social Networking section that I am making on my Website...
