Resolved [RESOLVED] Visual Web Developer 2008 Express 2008 Installation Error - Help Needed

first of all, this might not be the appropriate place to ask about this, keep in mind that i could not find a solution on M$ website.

i finally get to download VWD 2008 Express Edition but i can't install it(it keeps throwing up error when it gets to installing "Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1".

    here's the error code
    Code:
    EventType : visualstudio8setup P1 : 5647 P2 : 9.0.30729.01_orcas_x86_net
    P3 : pr P4 : inst P5 : f
    P6 : gencomp350_{168d82f8-ac6b-4b55-804f-2ae51ac4b P7 : baseret_failure
    P8 : - P9 : 1603 P10 : -
and i have read series of articles(even from MSDN), but none of them seems to be helping).

some said i should turn off IIS, but i don't even have IIS installed.

some said i should stop all .NET Services running, but when i checked with "services.msc", there are no running .NET services.

am stuck here, and probably have nowhere to turn to.

    Please help.

Re: Visual Web Developer 2008 Express 2008 Installation Error - Help Needed

well, since i was getting this error with ".NET Framework 3.5 SP1", i decided to download .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Full Package from M$(231MB).

After installing .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, i restarted my system and i was able to install VWD Express 2008.

i just thought i should let you all know(just in case someone else bumped into similar issue).
