Crysis
Finally grabbed a copy and started playing it this weekend. This is one awesome game, though I'm stuck at the moment.
What is the general feel about this game? Do you like it? Why or why not? So far, I find it absolutely brilliant. The graphics are a bit choppy on my machine, though dropping the resolution down to 1024 x 768 seems to solve the problem.

Re: Crysis
I've had a crack at the demo, and to be honest, I didn't think it was absolutely brilliant, but it was good fun while it lasted. I like the whole openness of the game, and the graphics looked wonderful on my "average" system (I suffer the same problem, and like you, I had to reduce to 1024x768).
My only complaint is that the enemies can easily and accurately kill you, no matter how far away you are (I'd even go as far to say that they can kill you while in a whole different continent with their accuracy) - something I called the "Uncharted: Drakes Fortune syndrome", which is a bit unfair. It only helped by you being able to do the same thing, but when there is 20 of them and one of you, you want to avoid that situation.

Cue the cool armour, which rates up there with the best inventions of the future.
I did find it irritating that I died almost a hundred times during the first three missions on EASY because of what you said. (Accuracy over great distances) I still find it irritating, actually.

Re: Crysis
From what I've heard from my friend, that's probably the least of the problems. Apparently, the gameplay switches from shooting Koreans to shooting aliens... if you thought the first one was bad, it apparently gets worse.

Re: Crysis
I have played it, and the expansion, and I must say the game is likable enough to play it maybe twice. The graphics and open areas are great, and the story is not bad, especially the first part (second part is kinda over the top unrealistic imo).
However, the game is riddled with bugs. Not just small bugs, but bugs that make the game unplayable. For example, if you are out of luck, you will find that all the cars in your game have no rear wheels. They just kinda balance on their front wheels, and although you can still drive them, they actually drive as if they have no rear wheels (read: they are impossible to control).
Another very common bug is right at the end of the game where you are fighting on the deck of a large ship. Occasionally, either you or your enemy will fall through the deck. If it's you, you will either get stuck somewhere you wont be able to get out, or you will end up in an earlier area, where you can also not get out because your path is now blocked by a closed door.
If it's your enemy, you can no longer shoot him...
Either way, you will have to reload an earlier save game and pray that it doesn't happen again.
