Re: Photographography
It's become quite clear that the general structure of tardedness can be boiled down to this:
"You're such a [SomethingIDon'tOwnAndMustThereforeBeInferior]tard."

Re: Photographography
More like "You're such a [IDon'tGetTheBigDealAboutThisProductAndIDon'tCareAnyways]tard".
I wouldn't say the camera (whatever it is) is inferior, simply because I don't and I really don't care.

Re: Photographography
Clearly we must engage in lengthy and convoluted discourse on the precise and definitive prefix required to condense the structure of tardedness.

Re: Photographography
Your assessment of the nature of tardedness is incorrect. There are disputable and indisputable tardednesses. For example, being a Mactard is indisputable and irrecoverable. Being a d40tard is disputable and recoverable. Being an ubuntard is questionable.

If I have to look it up on urban dictionary, I'd rather not know.

Try something a little older than the urban dictionary. Every word on that sight has at least one definition that is either pornographic or anatomically incorrect.

Once, for example, I forgot what the name was for the object known as a "tripod". So I just searched for "three legs" in Google. You DON'T want to try it...

We have VBForums members that are dancers like MaxM that like to wear leotards.

Don't mind MM, he's getting angry because he's getting old and is realizing that he doesn't have a D40, more like a D0. I guess you could call him a d0tard.

Thanks dude
There will be a whole bunch more when my new ISP get's me connected.
I went to Kedleston Hall at the weekend and took about 125 photos, I'll be uploading about 16 of them (eg the best ones) as soon as I can.

Niiiiiiice. How much running around did you have to do to get that shot?

Re: Photographography
I did what I think you are doing (and I still do it) - take hundreds of photos, upload a few. I think that's a good strategy because
a) It's a digital camera, you can view and delete
b) If you take a large number of photos, the chance of finding good photos increases statistically, as you've seen above.
c) I have one which I'll upload tomorrow which was an in-the-moment thing, same principle (take lots, one good). I think you'll like it. You might even lick your screen.

As promised... well, not promised, but mentioned. I guess this one takes on the same principle - taking lots of photos will get you a few good ones:

Re: Photographography
I bought myself a tripod last night
£92 for basically a few bits of aluminium.
It's amazing what a difference it makes. Last night (1am) I was outside on the patio taking photos of the Moon and some stars.
I put the shutter on a very long (20-30 seconds) setting and pointed it at a bright star, zoomed right in and click.
The photo was - at first glance - blurred, but then I realised that the focus was perfect. The stars were streaked slightly because the earth was rotating during the long exposure!!! Science in action . I tried replicating that same shot without the tripod and the result was not pretty.
I therefore conclude that the earth is a torus shape.
I don't live here any more.
