Anyone know of a free AutoCAD Viewer component?
My company has 2 CAD systems, legacy AutoCAD garbage and ProEngineer for 3D. Oddly, PTC has a free ActiveX control that allows you to display their filetypes in web pages, .NET, or whatever...
AutoDesk does not (as far as I know). Does anyone know of a simple, no strings attached free DWG file viewer component I can embed in a .NET project? I'm making a simple engineering management program and while showing the part or it's drawing is a nice feature and works fine for our high end CAD platform, it would be nice if I could include support for the other 20% of our parts too.
I don't care if it's .NET or COM, as long as you can view, zoom, and pan DWG files without some annoying popup or watermark stamped all over the background.

omg
I am trying to make a app to work with the Free DWG Viewer
I have managed to add a reference to the Free DWG Viewer but have no idea what to do next.
If you have any luck please post a example to get me going.

OpenDWG® Toolkit Libraries (Legacy)
OpenDWG Toolkit enables you to write C or C++ language programs that read and write DWG and DXF files outside of Autodesk® AutoCAD®, thus greatly improving the speed and convenience of processes utilizing information contained within DWG files. The following platforms are supported:
DEC Alpha NT IBM RS/6000 AIX Sun Solaris 1
DEC Alpha VMS Linux Sun Solaris 2
DEC Alpha Unix Macintosh Microsoft Windows
HP 700 Series, HP/UX Silicon Graphics

Jenner,
Can you get the autocad files to covert to DXF format?
Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'
