Ice-skating is hazardous
So I have the new skates, and on Saturday evening I went ice-skating again. Bad idea... While going around the bend at the far side of the ice-rink my right foot slipped. I thought to myself "okay, just crash into the barrier", but no. Some fool went and dug a huge gash in the ice, so my left skate ended up getting stuck. As I fell, I did what I'm not supposed to: Braced for impact with my left hand. As my hand was going down, I almost cut my own wrist with my own ice-skate.
Everyone keeps giving me advice like "life's not too bad", etc... The more I try to explain, the less anyone wants to listen.
Anyhoo... it took me four days to get typing again. At first I refused stitches, though when the wound wouldn't stop bleeding by Monday, I decided to rather just go get stitches.
EDIT: OHHH... I do have pictures, though to save all of you the grossness of the situation, I'll only upload them on request.

Life's not too bad. Perhaps you're just bad at skating
How gross are the pictures? Perhaps give us a teaser so that we can assess the grossness of the pictures and chastise you.

They're not that gross... just a bit of blood and a fairly deep and wide wound. I'd say about 2mm x 15mm cut around 6mm deep.

Did you go to the hospital to mend that wound? You should disinfect it, since it's probably already infected with... ( I forgot the english word for that disease).

Nope. Went to the first-aid corner, and he just cleaned it with Savlon. (Equivalent of Dettol) Said I didn't need stitches. When I went to the hospital they gave me a tetinus injection, (don't know if that's spelt correctly) and said I do need stitches.

For the sake of being considerate TO others, I provide links instead of images. (Note: the photos were taken with my w910i's stupid camera)
The Closed Wound
The Open Wound
I haven't taken a photo after getting the stitches though. It takes the fun out of it.

Were you shooting the pictures, while skating?
