    Resolved [RESOLVED] vb6 problem

i reinstalled windows on my computer, and i installed visual basic 6.0 again but the components didnt really register themselves... i need to find them all and register them, is there anyone that has a list of all the dll and ocx files?

i've tried unstalling and reinstalling vb several times.

They're on disk 3 of the Visual Studio 6 Enterprise disk. If you don't have 3 disks look for a directory on one of them called COMMON\TOOLS\VB\CONTROLS. All of the OCX's you're looking for are there plus a couple of .REG files. Put the OCX files in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32, then double-click the .REG files to enter the licenses and register them. You can also, of course, register the OCX files using REGSVR32.

This has never happened with me...

How did you re-install windows... Was it a normal repair or a fresh install(formating the disk and then installing)

I have a feeling that it was a repair. If yes, then simply do a fresh install and everything will be okay...

    Re: vb6 problem

i have fixed the components now, but i have another problem with vb... if for example add a image box to my form and then delete it again, then it crashes.

    edit:

i'm working on a project now, and i find out that i cannot add my components... i've tried registering them, it works, but on vb6 it says error accessing the system registry
