please pass this on to vbbulletin...

i really really really ... REALLY!!! Don't like the new layout of the datasheet you see when you click a username. It's confusing and buries the most used feature for me (view posts started by... )

and what's all this "visitor messages" crap? I thought that was what private messages were for. But i suppose these aren't private? People will use them exactly like pms though and all heck will break loose when they realize it's out in the open for anyone to see. And while you can "delete" the message, it leaves a note telling you there's a deleted message in the same spot! Who's retarded idea was that anyway? If i wanted to chat with someone, i could sign into msn! At least they could make the old look the selected tab.

And in a related BUG, since the upgrade, i have occanionally been seeing a "vote now" button where the "save" button should be, especially when editing posts.

The new version of vB provides new user profiles which are "myspace-like". No way to change it back or modify to the old profile templates. There is just too manny complications in doing so now as it involves several hooks and templates to geterate the new profile layout.

Visitor messages are in that category of "myspace-like" profiles. If you want something private, PM's are still available.

Can they [visitors messages] be turned off? It really is annoying "feature" and I also hate it - like LO said isn't PM enough? There is always IM, emails, etc if you want to keep in touch.
Are we turning well respected technical board into some kind of social club? There is CC which is more than enough for those who like to chat...

    Thanks guys!
Just did it but one last question: does this mean that I simply won't see visitors page in my profile or people won't actually be able to visit?

btw, I love multi quote feature.

Just the visitor messaging. They can still see your profile. You have another setting for "Profile Privacy"
