(collab-unpaid) nex gen soc-networking project...

This isnt a myspace, facebook, yelp replication.,

its much much much bigger project,. the goal is social-community., getting us out of this recission, and a few other things......., its a pretty large project and the scope is pretty big,


it is not a "For-Profit" project, but then again, nor is it a "Not-For-Profit"... if the project does complete and does go live i can see it being aquired by a big name but that is not the goal.......you can think of it as more of a community service.,


While it is big,. you need not worry, sections will be appropriately chunked and handed off based on your skills..

It will be a Web based application., but you do not have to know asp.net for this (because the componenets are being chunked and developed in .net)

various functionality is needed... i think the hardest part of this project is the Geocoding.,

using googles API., "things" will be geocoded"... using the geocodes one must be able to calculate the proximity of "things" from one another.... (geocoded values are stored in db)...

i think its a fun project...

I am looking for individuals who

Have worked, or want to work with Google's Geocode api
know asp.net/web development
web/Graphic design, web 2.0 + skinning/look/feel

Knowledge level... on a scale of 1-10 you need to feel that you are at 7+, While i appreciate your interest I cannot work with individuals who cannot learn on their own..

I do not need full-time dedication., but you should be able to dedicate 10ish hours a week.,

this is also NOT an open-soruce project ... the idea behind what is being developed can be stolen by yahoo/google... that would be no fun.,
