We got it at about 2:30am. It woke me up and cut the electricity for a moment.

It was about 12:40 for us and it was the biggest storm I can remember. Maybe nothing compared to the U.S. but pretty big for us Brits.

    Cheers,

Woke up this morning to find a txt on my phone from a mate's sister sent @ 2:30 when it was supposed to be insane outside
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Well it was a good excuse to get someon to hold me. Can't blame me for trying Didn't work anyway, I'm feeling distinctly un-held.

It was a valiant effort Harry! Since I can't hold you you'll just have to make do with this:

    Thanks

Well since this is my thread I reserve the right to take it OT, so here goes:

I *****ed up my exam today. Yes, today. I thought it was tomorrow, but I was wrong, and I got a phone call from a friend 45 mins before the exam was due to start asking me when I was going to get to campus. Bearing in mind that I was still in bed at this point and it takes 40 mins to get to campus on the bus. Luckily one of the guys I live with has a car and was in, which he isn't most of the time, and he gave me a lift, but I hadn't done any revision (well I looked through a textbook at 4 am this morning) and it was a business exam, which I hate with a passion and have little or no interest in, so I'm not exactly that knowledgeable about business.

I answered about 50% of the questions. I guess I might have passed (40%) but it's gonna bring all my other marks down and I was really trying to get a first this semester *Sigh*

Ah well, I have another exam on Tuesday (yes I'm sure it's Tuesday) which is Algorithms & Data Structures, probably my best subject, so I'll have to try and make up for it.

Okay you can go back to your daily (or nightly) lives now. Thank you for listening. Or if you just skipped that whole paragraph then bollocks to you.
    Harry.

Thank you for your good wishes. The exam was 60% of the module, the other 40% was coursework which I got 60% in, if that makes sense, so I haven't done as badly as I would have done if it was all exam. I guess I'm just not good at non-geeky subjects

Yes I'll have to do some of that 'w' stuff over the weekend. As for the invitation to go and 'hold' myself... well I'm not quite sure what to think of that but I'll bear it in mind.

It always seem to bring a smile to Tom's face.....I'm not sure it will help with the marks though.

Oh dear, Unlucky Dean. Well, you'll just have to participate in some more Wholesome activities, such as bike riding, or reading a good book.......

We got hit by the thunderstorm last night. The PowerGrid must have been hit, as about a 15 mile radius was blacked out. it was really irritating, we missed the end of the episode of the new series of friends we were watching. Damn weather.
